Free start-up and scale-up business workshops are typically offered at least monthly and are led by staff from the SBA (Small Business Administration), or other highly knowledgeable . These workshops cover topics such as business start-up 101, available funding types for small businesses, financial management, how to find a mentor, business trends, steps to government contracting, and more!
While these workshops are free and open to the public, we do ask that each participant registers online or by calling 317-737-2155 to ensure enough seats and materials are available.

This SBA Live! series is designed for entrepreneurs who are seeking foundational knowledge for starting up a small business. It will take place from Noon-1pm on the 4th Thursday of each month during the summer (June - August).

June 25, Noon-1pm - Business Start-Up 101
Learn 10 basic steps to follow, what resources are available, important tips on starting a business, and the reality about grants!
July 23, Noon-1pm - Funding Options for Small Business
Topics include: how to finance your business, where microloans are available, what to take to your lender, and how mentors and counselors can help.
August 27, Noon-1pm - Financial Management for Small Business
Learn how to understand the essentials of financial management, apply financial management practices, rules and tools, prepare for common business financing needs: start-up finance, working capital, and fixed asset loans.
